Queen’s Award for Outstanding Innovation

Queen's Award for Outstanding Innovation in 2010Getting recognition from the Queen is no small achievement.

The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is the UK’s most prestigious awards for business performance, recognising outstanding achievement by British companies.

While doing a little reading about Enterprise Architecture companies, I discovered that one of the companies Salamander had been granted the Queen’s Award for Outstanding Innovation in 2010. They have an EA tool called MooD.

The Awards are made each year by The Queen, on the advice of the Prime Minister, who is assisted by an Advisory Committee that includes representatives of Government, industry and commerce, and the trade unions.

Winners are publicly announced on 21 April, The Queen’s personal birthday, and attend Buckingham Palace to officially receive their awards later in the year.

Gartner have also recognised MooD and has appeared in two of their ‘Magic Quadrants’ Enterprise Architecture and Business Process Analysis

Gents, Well Done!

  1. I was going to take exception to your “Gents” comment until I saw the 100% white male composition of Salamander’s management team. 😦
