BPMN and the Time Team

BPMN and the Time TeamSCENE 1 – LOCATION: EXCAVATION SITE IN EYGPT
TONY ROBINSON WALKING ACROSS THE FIELD

TONY ROBINSON
Hello I’m Dr Tony Robinson, the highest paid self-appointed archaeologist there’s ever been on TV.
In the past series I’ve looked at some truly memorable excavation findings, but today I’m here in Egypt to talk about the most important finding of them all.

During the years I have produced countless history documentaries, but this finding is the most exciting.
During the last month our team have stumbled upon a finding that has caused ripples to run throughout the whole of the archaeology world and the business industry as well.

We have found, what we believe to be, the first BPMN platform ever used.
It seems that the Egyptians used it to design the ancient pyramids and the Sphinx.
Legend has it that BPMN was used to design the Tower of Babel, which might explain why it was never finished…

The platform uses BPMN and as you can see, it’s user interface was just as hard to understand then as it is nowadays.

We have with us today, an expert on tools from the BPM era: Professor Gartner.
Professor, would you like to share with us your thoughts on the subject

PAN TO THE PROFESSOR

PROFESSOR GARTNER
Grrrrr, It’s not business user friendly. Grrrr, just not up to a business level of need, Grrrr.. good enough for IT, not good enough for business professionals, Grrrr…

PAN BACK TO TONY ROBINSON

TONY ROBINSON
Right, thank you professor.
As you all are aware, the latest finding has caused some tensions in the area.
We have been warned by the local authorities that findings like these may cause friction between the local villages.
As you can see, groups of BPMS vendors and BPM consultants have started gathering on the hills around us.

PAN TO THE HILLS

(Locals on the hills start throwing rocks towards the crew)…(Shouting) Death to the Infidels! Death to BPMN!

PAN BACK TO TONY ROBINSON
Right, we’re out of here. Back to the studio.

SCREAMING …TONY RUNS OFF…
