“Good morning, Pooh Bear”, said Eeyore gloomily. “If it is a good morning”, he said. “Which I doubt”, said he.
“Hello Eeyore” said Pooh. “Where are you off to?”
“I’ve been asked to visit a BPA vendor” replied Eeyore.
“Ooh, that’s exciting” said Pooh jumping up and down.
“Not really” said Eeyore gloomily. “They haven’t changed the product in the last decade, so I’m not in a hurry” he frowned.
“On the other hand, I don’t expect to be disappointed as I have no expectations, so maybe it’s not all bad” said Eeyore with his head down.
“Cheer up Eeyore” said Pooh. “Maybe they’ll have some honey”
Pooh said good-bye affectionately to his fourteen pots of honey, and hoped they were fifteen; and he and Eeyore went out into the Forest to meet the BPA vendor.
“Hello vendor, is that you?”
“Let’s pretend it isn’t”, said the BPA vendor, “and see what happens.”
Eeyore tells me that nothing has changed in BPA tools. Why is that?” asked Pooh inquisitivly.
“Did you ever stop to think, and forget to start again?” replied the vendor
“I don’t see much sense in that,” said Pooh. “No,” said the vendor humbly, “there isn’t. But there was going to be when I began it. It’s just that something happened to it along the way.”
Eeyore continued to wag is tail slowly, whilst looking at the ground.
“I told you so” he said with his head drooped “Don’t underestimate the value of doing nothing, of just going along, listening to all the things you can’t hear, and not bothering.”
Both Pooh and the vendor didn’t respond. Eeyore continued to stare at the ground. “If the person you are talking to doesn’t appear to be listening, be patient”, he said to himself. “It may simply be that he has a small piece of fluff in his ear.”
“BPA is in a bit of a muddle” said the vendor. “We are bickering about notations, instead of being innovative. We don’t listen to customers.. we are a bit disorderly..”
“One of the advantages of being disorderly is that one is constantly making exciting discoveries” said Pooh, and found a hidden pot of honey at the bottom of the product.
“So, what do you like best about our product?” the vendor asked Pooh.
“Well,” said Pooh, “what I like best — ” and then he had to stop and think. Because although eating honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn’t know what it was called.
